Job Title: Accountant

Location: Yatala, Queensland

Salary: $80,000+ Superannuation (Negotiable based on experience)  

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the role:

• Process accounts payable invoices and payments in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly.
• Generate and distribute customer invoices, monitor accounts receivable aging, and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts receivable and accounts payable ledgers.
• Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing processes, including preparation of journals and accruals.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide support to the finance team and assist with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.

About you:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Proficiency in accounting software (MYOB or Xero ideally) and Microsoft Excel.
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices, with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

• Positive attitude, proactive mindset, and willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment.
